Buffalo Creek & Gauley Railroad
The Buffalo Creek & Gauley Railroad (BC&G) was completed in 1910, from a connection with the Coal & Coke Railway at Dundon, WV, extending from there up Buffalo Creek to Widen, WV. During the 1910's the BC&G served one of the largest coal mining operations in the region at Widen, which at that time was the largest town in Clay County. The total length of the roadroad was 18 miles, all of which were located in Clay County.
