From West Virginia Railroads - Model Railroading

On December 4, 1834, the first train of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad arrived at a station opposite Harpers Ferry, WV. Two years later, in June, 1834, a railroad bridge, Wager Bridge, was completed to Harpers Ferry.
