Scale drawing of the two Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) roundhouses at Martinsburg, West Virginia (http://www.wvexp.com/index.php/Martinsburg%2C_West_Virginia) (WV), part of the locomotive and machine shop complex erected by the B&O in Martinsburg beginning in 1849. The B&O's two roundhouses built at Piedmont, WV (http://www.wvexp.com/index.php/Piedmont%2C_West_Virginia), just after the Civil War, were identical to the Martinsburg roundhouses, and the B&O roundhouses erected at Grafton, WV (http://www.wvexp.com/index.php/Development_of_Grafton%2C_WV) were of nearly identical design.
