The Paw Paw Branch of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) extended from Fairmont, WV (http://www.wvexp.com/index.php/Fairmont%2C_West_Virginia) via Riverville, WV (http://www.wvexp.com/index.php/Rivesville%2C_West_Virginia) to the Federal mine of the New England Gas & Coke Co. on Paw Paw Creek, a distance of 8.7 miles. Although the railroad hauled some passengers, it was mostly a coal carrying railroad.
